COURT HALTS CHINO VALLEY SCHOOL BOARD PRAYER...

On November 13, 2014, the Freedom From Religion Foundation* filed a lawsuit against the Chino Valley Unified School District Board of Education primarily questioning "the constitutionality of prayer at public school board meetings."

On February 18, 2016, the court ruled against the School Board and in favor of the Freedom From Religion Foundation.

One month later, on March 31, the court ordered the Chino Valley School Board to pay more than $200,000 for the Freedom From Religion Foundation's attorney fees. The School Board voted to appeal the ruling and retained Tyler & Bursch, LLP and Advocates for Faith & Freedom. On June 13, 2016 the court issued a stay of enforcement of the attorney’s fee award pending the results of the appeal.

The Christian community urged the School Board to appeal and promised to help raise a defense fund to help off-set the award of attorney’s fees to Freedom From Religion Foundation in the event the appeal is not successful. This defense fund will help encourage the School District to continue the fight by off-setting the School District's liability.

In an effort to support the School District's fight to keep "prayer at public school board meetings," the Let Us Pray Foundation was formed with the purpose of raising the more than $200,000 in attorney's fees.

The defense fund cannot be raised without the support of the Christian fellowship of believers in our own community and across the country. Would you please make a generous donation in the effort to help the School District pay the Freedom From Religion Foundation's fee? This organization is roaming the nation chiseling away our religious liberties. If we do not defend our freedoms, we will lose our freedoms!

Please make your most generous donation today!
